I had a very weird dream during my afternoon sleep. It felt strange, pointless, and extremely long. Actually, most of the dreams I have in the afternoon follow this pattern. I do see dreams occasionally, but most of them happen during afternoon naps, and they feel much longer and more complete. Normally, dreams at night feel short and often end halfway through. But afternoon dreams feel like they keep dragging on. They don’t end suddenly, but they also don’t feel unfinished. At the same time, they are not the kind of dreams where you wish they would last longer. Instead, they just feel weird and unnecessarily long. Now let me describe the dream. I don’t remember everything, but I remember enough. In the dream, I was outside with my younger cousin sister. She is around 13–14 years old. We were at the most popular crossroads in town. Many local stores were closed, but strangely the shutters were open and the insides were completely empty. Even though the place was busy as usual, the people felt strange—almost like NPCs who didn’t react to anything happening around them. For some reason, we got into a brawl with a couple of evil witches. I don’t clearly remember what they actually were, so I just call them witches because they were on the bad side. I’m not even sure if it was a fight or if they were chasing us. We certainly weren’t superhuman in the dream, and they weren’t using magic either. Maybe they were just a group of crazy old women. I don’t know. In the dream, they were simply the bad guys. Somehow, I managed to trap them inside one of the stores using a bunch of explosives. I don’t know how I got those explosives. They were banging on the shutter like crazy, but the iron door wouldn’t open. The bombs had timers, so we had time to go far away and find a spot to watch the explosion. The bombs were strong enough to blast through the shutter and burn the nearby entrance. Anyone standing in front of the store would probably die in the explosion. While we were waiting, a massive riot suddenly broke out in the area. People started killing each other. Cocktails and bombs were exploding everywhere. Cars were burning, and people were dying. We immediately decided to escape instead of waiting any longer. Forget the witches—safety came first. As we moved away, we saw dead bodies being carried on stretchers and burned people lying on the ground. Then I saw a man who had been cut in half. Half of his body was gone, and he was badly burned, but somehow still alive. I remembered seeing this man walking around the store area earlier when we were escaping. He was a fat man wearing a blue panjabi, a white Muslim cap, and he had a long beard. He probably came from the mosque. I immediately felt regret. Dreams don’t feel like dreams while you are inside them. They feel very real. Then I noticed a medium-sized bull staring directly at me. I thought, wasn’t this bull present earlier when I was setting the bombs for the witches? Somehow I knew that its target was only me. It wasn’t interested in other people, not even my cousin. It was going to chase me and attack me—maybe even kill me. I told my cousin to stay where she was and started running at full speed. That thing was right behind me. I even wondered if this was karma taking the form of a bull. I ran toward the nearby stadium and entered an abandoned stable that was strangely built right beside the stadium entrance. I closed the gate behind me, but it looked too weak. The bull could easily break it. So I ran again and eventually reached the busy main road. By that point, I was so exhausted that I couldn’t even run anymore. I stopped looking behind me and started crawling on the road. Cars were passing very close to me, but I didn’t care anymore. After struggling for a long time, I finally reached my house. When I looked behind me, the bull was gone. I was completely safe. Now I could go to my room and rest. But then I remembered that my cousin was still back there. The bull wasn’t after her, and she was probably still safe where I left her. Still, she was alone. Normally, I should go back and help her despite the danger. But I started hesitating. My house was right in front of me, and I was exhausted after barely escaping death. Should I really go back? Right at that moment, the dream ended and I woke up.
